Abstract

This research examines the contribution of the Indonesian Enzyme Bakti Community in increasing the community’s ecological awareness through a qualitative approach using the phenomenological method. The main focus of this research is to understand the experiences and perceptions of community members and the general public who are involved in activities organized by this community. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and analysis of documents related to community activities. The research results show that the Indonesian Enzyme Bakti Community has succeeded in facilitating increased community ecological awareness through various educational programs and practical activities such as making enzymes from household waste. These findings reveal that direct involvement in environmentally friendly activities has a significant impact in shaping people’s ecological thinking and behavior. Apart from that, this research also highlights the importance of community support in strengthening collective awareness and responsibility for environmental conservation. In this way, the Indonesian Enzyme Bakti Community not only acts as an agent of ecological change, but also as a model of effective community empowerment in facing current environmental challenges. This research confirms that education and active participation in environmentally friendly activities can change people’s behavior and mindset to become more concerned about the environment. This community has demonstrated that through a collaborative and community-based approach, ecological awareness can be significantly increased. By integrating environmental education into daily activities, the Enzim Bakti Indonesia Community provides a real example of how communities can play an important role in overcoming global environmental issues.
