- Abstract
This study aims to analyze the relationship between variables that affect the smooth supply chain of heavy equipment in road construction projects in Aceh Besar District. Common problems in heavy equipment distribution are often caused by a lack of coordination between the parties involved, as well as technical and non-technical constraints in the field. This study used a quantitative approach through distributing questionnaires to 54 contractors who have a minimum of three years’ experience in road projects. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 25 software through descriptive analysis, simple correlation, and multiple linear regression. The results showed that operational factors had the most dominant influence with a correlation of 0.692, followed by mobilization, cost, and stakeholder factors. Meanwhile, tools and environmental factors have a lesser influence. Simultaneously, all variables contributed 74.2% to the smoothness of the heavy equipment supply chain. The findings provide practical recommendations for contractors and stakeholders to improve the efficiency of heavy equipment distribution through strengthening operational aspects and coordination between parties.
