Abstract

With the popularization of the Internet of Things (IoT), big data, “Industry 4.0”, Building Information Modeling (BIM), digital twin, and the concept of full - life cycle management in the entire power industry, new opportunities have emerged for the digital transformation of power source project construction in the power system. Meanwhile, traditional thermal power project construction is facing the dual challenges of improving quality and efficiency and achieving low - carbon transformation. This paper uses the smart construction site concept and combines it with new - generation information technologies such as IoT, BIM, and digital twin to develop a smart project management system for the full life cycle of project construction. Through the practice of the system in the thermal power project construction of China Datang Group, this paper verifies the significant value of the smart project management system in optimizing management processes, reducing carbon emissions, and enhancing the effectiveness of safety supervision, providing a reference for the subsequent smart construction site management of thermal power project construction.
