- Abstract
Gas pipeline leakage and explosion are the key issues in utility tunnel’s safety protection. Accurate prediction of gas explosion load in utility tunnel under realistic conditions is an important prerequisite for reasonable protection design. In this paper, taking the double-cabin model pipe gallery structure as the test platform, the TNT test of gas and equivalent TNT is designed according to TNT equivalent method, and the propagation law of gas and TNT explosion load is studied. The test results show that when a gas explosion accident occurs in utility tunnel, the peak value of gas explosion load is low and the positive pressure lasts for a long time, and there is no obvious attenuation with the increase of propagation distance. However, TNT explosion load shows the characteristics of high peak value, short duration and fast attenuation, which is quite different from gas explosion load. The error of TNT equivalent method in predicting gas explosion load is obtained, and the main reasons for the error are analyzed. The research results provide reliable suggestions for the evaluation of gas explosion accidents in utility tunnel.
