Abstract

In the research of music education, there are many problems around the aesthetic and practical teaching theory, but there is a lack of research on the combination of practical theory and practice-based teaching methods. Eliot and Orff are both music educators. Although they are in different times, they are both practice-based teaching methods. Their teaching systems together provide support for practice-based teaching methods. This paper mainly uses the literature method to analyze the teaching system of Elliot and Orff. Through the analysis, it is concluded that Elliott’s practical theory can be used to support Orff’s theoretical system, and the part mentioned in Elliott’s idea can also be combined with Orff’s teaching method idea, and summarizes the theoretical basis of the two, which provides a theoretical basis for Orff’s teaching method to operate better in music teaching, provides practical guidance for Elliott’s theoretical system, and combines the two theoretical systems to guide contemporary music education activities. The practical methods of the two can complement each other. Finally, to embody the teaching concept of “people-oriented” in music education.
