- Abstract
Amidst the literary and artistic revival in Northeast China, a wealth of outstanding works with regional characteristics of the Northeast emerged. The TV drama Rural Love is one of the most typical representative works, which tells the daily life stories of rural families in Ivory Mountain(Xiang Ya Shan), Northeast China. This article mainly analyzes why Rural Love can stand out from many TV dramas and become popular under the situation that the number of literary and artistic works of TV dramas with rural themes is scarce from three aspects: how the TV drama Rural Love is wildly sought after by audiences, how it attracts audiences from different social groups, and how it becomes popular culture in the Internet era.
