Abstract

This study explores the impact of mindfulness intervention on psychological crises among college students in medical and health-related vocational colleges. Students identified as “Level One Alert” in the school’s health education center were assigned to the mindfulness intervention group, consisting of 40 participants; the other group, which did not participate in any training, was designated as the control group, also comprising 40 individuals. The intervention group engaged in regular daily studies without mindfulness practice but underwent an 8-week mindfulness training program. Both groups were measured for positive and negative emotions before and after the intervention. Independent samples t-tests and paired samples t-tests were conducted on the measurement results. Results: After the training, the intervention group showed a significant increase in positive emotions and a significant decrease in negative emotions. The control group did not show any significant changes in either positive or negative emotions before and after the intervention. Conclusion: Mindfulness intervention effectively enhances positive emotional levels and reduces negative emotional levels among college students in vocational colleges, thereby improving their ability to cope with crises.
