Abstract

This paper analyzes the research status and development trend of the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) teaching concept in undergraduate education, aiming to provide theoretical basis and practical reference for undergraduate teaching reform. By retrieving the CNKI, VIP and Wanfang databases, a total of 700 relevant literatures published from 2015 to August 2025 were obtained. The CiteSpace 6.3.R1 software was used to conduct co-occurrence, clustering and burst analysis on keywords and knowledge maps were drawn. The results show that the overall number of relevant publications has been increasing year by year, reaching a peak in 2024. The research hotspots mainly focus on the fields of teaching reform, curriculum civics, practical teaching and talent cultivation, highlighting that curriculum construction and the optimization of teaching system are important directions in the future. The research of the OBE teaching concept in undergraduate education is gradually moving from theoretical discussion to practical application, and constantly combining with curriculum reform, practical teaching and talent cultivation. In the future, it is still necessary to further strengthen the optimization of the curriculum system and the innovation of practical models, and promote the in-depth implementation of the OBE concept in undergraduate teaching.
