- Abstract
The contemporary world is more and more oriented towards global and economically dominated objectives. This globalized era has reduced the spatial competition, ushering in a new phase of economic competition. Economic outcomes need to be carefully observed and need an intense debate. This paper examines the burgeoning economic cooperation between Iran and China from an Indian perspective. In recent years, Iran, traditionally a close ally and friend of India, has enhanced its ties with China, globalization as a key player in this development. This study analyzed the extent of their cooperation, especially in the relation to the China’s Belt and Road Initiative and the infrastructural development in Iran, utilizing secondary date. These data are collected from different Websites, and journals. Finally, it concludes that there is a prominent shift from dependency to Self-reliance. This evolving relationship pushes Indian foreign policies on the edge and a potential challenge. For India, West Asia, particularly concerning it’s historically friendly relations with Iran. This article employs a descriptive-analytic approach, utilizing qualitative data gathering method, and analyzes the data within the framework of geo-economics between Iran and China.
