- Abstract
Adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and blockchain-based systems in healthcare supply-chain management offers a promising approach for improving security, transparency, and traceability throughout the system. A robust, AI-blockchain-driven healthcare supply-chain has the potential to increase trust among all parties involved, including manufacturers, distributors, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies. The Supply Chain Operations Reference 12.0 (SCOR) model and Analytic-Hierarchy-Process (AHP) is used to identify the area of healthcare supply-chain where infallibility can be introduced. This research explores the role of AI-blockchain-based systems to tackle key issues in the healthcare supply-chain, such as fraud, counterfeit products, and the absence of real-time tracking. By utilizing decentralized, immutable ledger systems, blockchain with AI can ensure the authenticity of medical products, streamline logistics, and safeguard patient safety. The paper concludes by suggesting potential areas for future research to enhance the efficiency and optimization of healthcare supply-chain management.
