- Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the field of pharmacy by enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and patient-centered care. This review critically examines the multifaceted applications of AI in pharmacy practice and pharmaceutical research, including drug discovery, personalized medicine, pharmacovigilance, inventory management, and clinical decision support. A literature search was conducted across major databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar, focusing on studies published between 2011 and 2025. The review synthesizes insights into how AI technologies are being implemented to optimize healthcare delivery, reduce medication errors, and support pharmacists in providing tailored therapeutic interventions. Additionally, the paper addresses key ethical, regulatory, and infrastructural challenges that must be overcome for successful integration. The findings highlight AI’s transformative potential in advancing pharmacy practice while emphasizing the need for interdisciplinary collaboration and responsible deployment.
