- Abstract
This paper presents a U-shaped slot RMSA Antenna (rectangular microstrip patch antenna) tailored for wearable health monitoring systems, with an emphasis on global connectivity. The design process addresses key factors like flexibility and cost-effectiveness, which are critical for wearable antenna applications. Various flexible substrates, including FR4 Epoxy, Teflon, Polydimthylsiloxane (PDMS), Polyethylene, Polyamide and RT Duroid, are used to assess performance of the proposed U Shaped RMSA antenna at frequency range of 2.40GHz to 2.60GHz. Parameters such as Return loss S11, Bandwidth, Radiation pattern, gain, radiation Efficiency and cost are evaluated, with the substrate height kept constant. The results reveal that PDMS provides the best overall performance, making it particularly suitable for applications in health monitoring systems.
