- Abstract
To analyze the current status of industrial efficiency development in Guizhou Province, firstly, the development profile of key industries in Guizhou Province was initially screened and analyzed by using the location quotient method. And then, the development trend of the total factor productivity change rate of key industries in Guizhou Province was analyzed by using the DEA-Malmquist index method from the perspectives of the three input indexes, namely, capital, labor, and energy consumption. It is found that (1) except for the two years of 2016-2018, the total factor productivity of key industries in Guizhou Province has maintained a long-term growth trend, in which the main contribution comes from the improvement of pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency; (2) some industries like non-ferrous metals, metal products and transportation equipment show most significant total factor productivity increase in recent years, which could be further studied to learn from their good experience.
