- Abstract
This is a critical ADAS component, enabling secure in addition to optimized routing by identifying road signs in real-time. This project focuses on developing a real-time traffic sign detection system using MATLAB, integrating image processing and deep learning methods. The system captures live video from a webcam, applies image processing algorithms to detect traffic signs, and classifies them using algorithm of DL developed using traffic signs comprehensive dataset. Utilizing convolutional neural networks (CNNs), the system can accurately recognize and categorize various signs, including speed limits, warnings, and directional indicators, offering immediate feedback to drivers or automated systems. This project underscores the potential of traffic sign detection to improve road safety, stream line navigation, and support the progression of autonomous driving technologies, contributing to increased secure as well as smarter mobility networks.
