Abstract

Driven by the deep integration of information technology into educational reform as well as the national educational modernization strategy, building an efficient, intelligent, and ubiquitous informatized basic teaching environment has become essential for higher education institutions to improve their quality of personnel training. Within this context, higher education institutions in China have implemented extensive active exploration and practice, during which a myriad of challenges, encompassing construction fragmentation, data islands, unbalanced investment, and lack of experience, have been exposed. Taking the construction practice of W University, which aims at becoming a model of digital transformation, as an example, this research constructs a five-dimensional collaborative model covering technology, platform, resources, ability, and system, which is characterized by an informatized basic teaching environment that empowers teaching and learning. In short, the proposed model furnishes an operational blueprint for other universities to develop their teaching space transformation, platform integration and optimization, curriculum resource reconstruction, and ability improvement mechanism.
