Abstract

This work provides the design and analysis of a 1x2 slot-loaded array antenna operating in the 70GHz millimeter-wave(mm Wave)band, aimed at high frequency wireless communication applications. The two radiating parts that make up the suggested antenna have slots positioned carefully to improve radiation performance, bandwidth, and impedance matching. The application of a slot-loading technique improves the antennas gain and efficiency by optimizing current distribution across that radiating structure. Antenna design is based on Rogers RT Duroid 5880, chosen for its low dielectric loss and high performance at mmWave frequencies, ensuring minimal attenuation and improved signal propogation. Simulations and parametric studies are conducted using HFSS, analyzing key performance metrics such as efficiency, gain, radiation pattern, and return loss. The outcomes show that the antenna achieves steady radiation characteristics, strong directivity, and a wide impedance bandwidth. The compact size, enhanced gain, and efficient slot-loading technique validate the proposed 1x2 array antenna as a possible option for mmWave communication networks of the future.
