Abstract

With the increasing incidence rate of breast cancer, early screening and diagnosis are of great significance for improving the survival rate and prognosis of patients. Photoacoustic imaging technology is an emerging non-invasive and radiation-free biomedical imaging technique. The combination of the high contrast of optical imaging and the deep penetration of ultrasonic imaging provides a new possibility for early screening of breast cancer. This paper reviews the application progress of photoacoustic imaging technology in early screening of breast cancer, analyzes its comparative advantages with traditional screening technology, discusses the current challenges, and looks forward to the future development direction. Research has shown that photoacoustic imaging technology has broad application prospects. But further optimization is still needed in terms of equipment cost, image quality, data processing, etc. to promote its widespread application in clinical practice. This article systematically reviews the application progress of photoacoustic imaging technology in the early screening of breast cancer. It not only provides a new non-invasive detection method reference for clinical practice but also points out the direction for subsequent technical optimization and clinical transformation research.
