Abstract

Enhancing counselors’ big data literacy is an effective way for colleges and universities to cope with the new requirements of ideological and political education in the era of big data, and to promote careful education, fine management and precise service in ideological and political work. The article constructs a “three-level, six-dimensional” model of counselors’ big data literacy ability, and through a questionnaire survey, it is found that there are still deficiencies in the awareness of college counselors in dealing with problems based on big data, the degree of mastery of the skills of big data refinement and analysis, and the ability to apply the results of big data analysis to work practice. It is recommended to improve the big data literacy of college counselors by establishing data thinking and building a new environment for counselors to apply big data; strengthening the supply of resources and building a new platform for counselors to apply big data; organizing professional training and innovating a new mode of cultivating big data for counselors; and strengthening the construction of systems and improving a new mechanism for assessing big data for counselors.
