- Abstract
This dissertation extensively investigates worldwide experiences relevant to rural tourism in China, focusing on cultural intellectual property’s significance in tourist destination creation. Twenty representative examples from Japan, Europe, and the US were chosen using Clear Set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (CSQCA). A configurational research examined legislative support, infrastructure, cultural adaptability, market-oriented marketing, operational efficiency and cost management, market positioning, and service content. Cultural adaptation and a multi-faceted synergistic approach are needed to use cultural intellectual property to build high-quality tourism destinations, according to research. The article proposes a three-tiered collaborative structure at the national, regional, and market levels to improve cultural adaptation and multi-factor coordination to boost China’s cultural and tourist industries.
