Abstract

Against the backdrop of prevalent supply-demand imbalance in the development of Internet-based crowdsourcing platforms, this paper takes Didi Chuxing in Guangzhou, a city with both tourism and commercial attributes, as the research scenario, and explores the internal mechanism of dynamic pricing in balancing platform capacity supply and demand. Based on public operational data from the Guangzhou Transportation Bureau and Didi platform, this paper constructs a complete-information static game model with the platform, drivers and passengers as the main players, focusing on the impact of dynamic surcharges on supply-demand relations across different periods and scenarios. Data tests and model verification show that supply-demand conditions differ significantly by period, the pricing coefficient is positively correlated with overall capacity supply, supply-demand imbalance is more prominent during tourism peaks, and the regulatory effect of conventional dynamic pricing is relatively limited in such periods. This paper reveals the internal relationship between dynamic pricing and supply-demand balance of crowdsourcing platforms, and the conclusions provide a theoretical basis and data support for pricing strategy optimization and rational capacity allocation of urban ride-hailing platforms.
