Abstract

This research aims to determine the analysis of the influence of HDI, capital expenditure, inflation on labor absorption in Indonesia in 2010-2022. This research is research using a quantitative approach. Indonesia’s employment issues are complex, one of which is marked by the steadily rising unemployment rate, which is a major obstacle to national development. According to Statistics Indonesia (BPS) data, unemployment remains a crucial challenge, primarily due to government capital spending, inflation, and fluctuations in the Human Development Index (HDI). This phenomenon highlights the urgency of strengthening economic policies that can expand employment opportunities and improve public welfare. The data used is secondary data obtained through related agencies which has been compiled and published. The independent variables used in this research are HDI, Capital Expenditures and Inflation, while the dependent variable is Labor Absorption. The analytical method used in this research is multiple regression. The research results show that partially the HDI variable does not have a significant and positive influence on Labor Absorption, then the Capital Expenditure variable has a significant and negative influence on Labor Absorption, and the Inflation variable has a significant and positive influence on Labor Absorption. Simultaneously the variables HDI, Capital Expenditures, Inflation have a significant and positive influence on Labor Absorption.
