- Abstract
The digital economy has a significant impact on increasing farmers’ income, and the development of the digital economy promotes the growth of farmers’ income to a certain extent through the mediating variable of agricultural servitization. Based on panel data from 30 provinces, the article constructs a regression model to examine the impact of digital economy development on farmers’ income growth. Through the research results, it was found that the development of digital economy has a promoting effect on farmers’ income; The development of the digital economy to some extent indirectly enhances farmers’ income by promoting agricultural servitization. The research in this article indicates that when it comes to the impact of the digital economy on farmers’ income, we should not only recognize the direct role of digital economy development, but also pay attention to the indirect role of agricultural servitization. Meanwhile, we should alleviate the problem of large income gaps among farmers in different regions through digital construction.
