- Abstract
This article systematically reviews the development of China's ancient judicial system, from the construction of the legal system from the pre Qin period to the Han Dynasty, to the further development of Tang law and the laws of the Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties, revealing the evolution process of ancient Chinese law. The article deeply analyzes the social characteristics of ancient legal systems, explores the unique positions of family and religion in law, and their impact on social stratification and legal implementation. Further elaborated on the execution of the judicial role in the bureaucratic system and the profound impact of the judicial system on social governance. This study aims to comprehensively evaluate the characteristics and influence of ancient judicial systems from the perspective of historical development, providing historical references for understanding current legal systems.
