Abstract

This paper discusses the integration and development of Cantonese opera culture and urban public space under the threshold of cultural confidence. First of all, the article introduces the historical and cultural value of Cantonese opera, and analyzes the challenges faced by Cantonese opera culture in modern times, such as the aging audience, and the mismatch between traditional performance forms and the rhythm of modern life. Then, the article expounds the potential of the integrated development of Cantonese opera culture and the urban public cultural space, including providing a display platform for Cantonese opera, enhancing the audience's sense of participation and interaction, etc. In addition, the article also discusses the academic value and practical significance of the integrated development of Cantonese opera culture and urban public space. Finally, the paper puts forward suggestions on innovating the communication mode of Cantonese opera and developing a new mode of combining Cantonese opera with public cultural space.
