Abstract

The traditional education system for recording arts is challenged by various problems, including a mismatch between industry needs and the educational curriculum, which is theoretically oriented, and it fails to provide adequate practice time and evaluation of competence. The study focuses on implementing principles and procedures of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), which innovate practical teaching models and develop competence evaluation systems. In doing so, the researcher has developed the “Position-Course-Competition-Certificate-Innovation” integration solution, which integrates industry positions into corresponding learning courses, competitions, certification, and innovation. There is also a designed evaluation index system, which focuses on competence evaluation and is composed of 25% knowledge competence, 50% competence, and 25% professionality, accompanied by nine secondary indicators and respective evaluation methods. Strategies on teaching reform and university-enterprise collaborations are integrated to develop practical teaching schemes and implement project-based learning, university-enterprise collaborations, joint laboratories, and industry guidance, which enables a learning environment to be closely integrated to practice.
