- Abstract
The low-altitude economy including urban air mobility (UAM) is actively advancing in China. A new, broad, affordable space is coming to improve the transportation of this big country. However, compared with developed countries and regions such as United States, Europe, and Japan, the gap of China’s UAM is still relatively large. Therefore, it is in great need to enhance the late-mover advantage, planning, construction and operation level of China’s UAM based on the international experience and its own conditions, contributing to steadily develop and improve a safe, intelligent, green, convenient, affordable industry system and operation system of China’s UAM. For this purpose, this paper analyzes the situation and proposes some countermeasures, including: optimizing low-altitude airspace management, focusing on consumer-level applications, driving technological breakthroughs and business innovation with market magic, building advanced and complete infrastructure, and demonstrating in key areas such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and Chengdu-Chongqing.
