Abstract

With the advancement of Artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the field of education is undergoing profound transformations. AI enhances educational efficiency and improves students’ learning experiences through personalized learning, adaptive education, and real-time feedback. However, the widespread application of AI has also sparked extensive discussions about the evolving role of teachers and issues of educational equity. This paper analyzes the core applications of AI in education, examines the redefinition of teachers’ roles, and explores the ethical and societal implications brought by AI. There’s a lot of evidence that even though AI is remarkably effective in data processing and similar fields, its inbuilt constraints deny the possibility of ever replacing human teachers. Nevertheless, the significance of teachers cannot be undermined. They are a basic component of emotional development, critical thinking, and social studies. Therefore, the article concludes that future education should harmoniously integrate AI technology with teachers’ professional expertise, striving for a coexisting interrelationship that encourages both intelligent and human-centered educational development.
