- Abstract
This study examines the diffusion of agricultural technology innovations within a small-world network context, constructing a cognitive utility threshold model. Key findings indicate that technology performance significantly impacts the diffusion of agricultural innovations. Farmers’ cognitive utility critically influences adoption rates, and changes in technology performance alter how network structure parameters, such as rewiring probability and network size, affect diffusion speed and extent. This research provides valuable insights into the mechanisms of innovation diffusion and offers a scientific foundation for policymakers and managers to develop more targeted and effective strategies, accelerating agricultural modernization.
