- Abstract
This study examines the impact of community interaction on identity formation and group belonging among adolescents participating in online music communities. Drawing upon social identity theory, a modified version of the Social Identity Scale was employed to conduct questionnaires and interviews with young people across multiple music-based online communities. Findings indicate that while music communities facilitate aesthetic appreciation and interest exchange, they also enhance value resonance, emotional support, and identity construction. However, these communities simultaneously present challenges such as identity conflicts and value fragmentation. The study recommends optimizing platform recommendations, refining community guidelines, and fostering positive interactions to promote the healthy development of youth online culture.
