- Abstract
This study investigates emotion-oriented design methods for healing-oriented VR serious games through the lens of spatial narrative. Integrating concepts from environmental psychology, immersion theory, and digital narratology, it constructs a “space–emotion–interaction” coupling model to reveal how spatial narrative mediates emotional experience and psychological healing. Combining case studies and prototype-based experiments, the research systematically analyzes spatial layout, atmospheric design, and interactive narrative mechanisms. Results demonstrate that spatial narrative not only enhances users’ immersion and empathy but also promotes emotional regulation and psychological recovery within virtual healing environments. The findings provide practical design strategies and theoretical insights for emotion-oriented design and digital therapeutic applications of VR serious games.
