Abstract

The fine traditional military culture of Chinese has a long history and carries the wisdom and strategic thinking of Chinese civilization. This article, by exploring its origin and development, reveals the evolution process of military culture in Chinese history from the Pre-Qin period to the Ming and Qing dynasties. Firstly, the budding of ancient military thought and the moral and strategic influences of Confucianism and Taoism on warfare were analyzed. Secondly, it explores the continuous deepening and innovation of military culture from the Warring States Period to the Qin and Han Dynasties, the Tang and Song Dynasties, and the Ming and Qing Dynasties, especially the significant position of “The Art of War” by Sun Tzu. The core ideas of traditional Chinese military culture were analyzed, mainly including the spiritual connotations such as military wisdom, strategic planning and loyalty and bravery. By studying the origin and development of traditional Chinese military culture, this article aims to provide references for understanding its application in contemporary war strategies and offer theoretical support for the innovation of future military culture.
