- Abstract
This research presents a Geographic Information System (GIS)-based decision-support platform for optimizing site selection and expansion strategies across food and industrial sectors. The system integrates spatial and non-spatial data — such as foot traffic, demographic density, infrastructure access, and competitor presence — to deliver actionable insights. It employs DBSCAN (Density-Based Spatial Clustering of Applications with Noise) and Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) to identify high-potential locations at granular geographic scales. A real-world use case demonstrates the platform’s ability to reduce delivery costs, improve coverage, and support data-driven growth in urban markets. Beyond commercial applications, the platform enables more equitable service distribution, contributing to improved quality of life in rapidly developing cities. This research illustrates how location intelligence can bridge technological innovation and inclusive urban development.
