Abstract

With the development of contemporary machinery and the automation industry, intelligent systems have been continuously applied in the production of products. As an important pillar of intelligent systems, machine vision, and sensor fusion technology cannot be dispensed in the process of product inspection. Machine vision technology simulates human vision through computers, extracts product information, speeds up processing efficiency, and is ultimately used in inspection. Sensor fusion technology denotes the integration and processing of data from several different sensors to enhance the reliability of the information. However, traditional research has often been confined to the isolated application of either machine vision or multi-sensor fusion technology without integrating both approaches in a combined study. In this paper, vision-related algorithms, image recognition, object detection, and multi-sensor fusion technology are the focus of the research, combined with their application in product inspection for theoretical and practical research. By cross-applying the two technologies, the intrinsic connection between them is analysed, resulting in finer data processing and good analysis and response capabilities. This study is of great value in accelerating the advancement of product inspection technology, improving the accuracy and efficiency of product inspection, and promoting the intelligent upgrading of the whole industry.
