Abstract

Infrastructure is a physical system required to meet basic human needs and plays a vital role in community welfare. In the digital era, telecommunication infrastructure has become an essential element of spatial development. Sleman Regency in the Special Region of Yogyakarta continues to experience population growth, increasing demand for telecommunication services. The Department of Communication and Information of Sleman has recorded 20 blank spot areas across 16 villages, indicating the need for systematic planning to ensure service equity and quality. This study develops a telecommunication infrastructure plan to support spatial planning in Sleman Regency. Secondary data include spatial plans, disaster-prone zones, protected agricultural land, and the distribution of existing towers. The approach integrates coverage and capacity analyses to project service needs by 2045. The calculation is limited to LTE eNodeBs, while potential tower locations are assessed through land suitability analysis and optimized using automatic cell planning to determine efficient placement aligned with projected demand.
