Abstract

The objective of this study is to develop a policy that can be applied to each mining operation so that it does not have a detrimental influence on the environment, particularly regarding the disruption of the equilibrium of the land surface, which is rather significant. These impacts include mining pits, decreased soil productivity, erosion and sedimentation, disruption of population safety and health, and changes in microclimate. Restoring the condition of the land so that it can function according to its designation is done through post-mining reclamation. Tin mining, which is not well regulated by the local government, accompanied by the absence of awareness of preserving the environment by all stakeholders, has led to the destruction of the environment in East Belitung Regency. Law enforcement must be carried out to preserve a sustainable environment in East Belitung Regency.
