Abstract

The mPBLFC mathematics learning model is a development of the mobile-based and flipped classroom PBL models. The design for developing the mPBLFC model must be adapted to the current needs of teachers and students. This research aims to analyze the needs of students and teachers in developing the mPBLFC mathematical model. Data was collected through observations, interviews, tests, and questionnaires at high school schools representing urban locations, locations far from urban areas, and between these two locations. Data that has been collected through observation and interviews is analyzed qualitatively, while data collected through questionnaires and tests is analyzed quantitatively. The development of the mPBLFC mathematics learning model for improving critical thinking and computational thinking requires monitoring learning activities before learning in the classroom, varied learning resources that can be used for independent learning, solving mathematical problems in a variety of different ways, solving mathematical problems using coherent steps, and mathematics learning in derivative calculus.
