- Abstract
This paper takes the female characters of Ge Weilong in Zhang Ailing’s novel “The First Incense” and Bai Liushu in “Love in a Fallen City” as the main research objects, using Propp’s narrative theory, to explore how Zhang Ailing transforms and breaks through the image of Cinderella in fairy tales, thereby revealing the delicate emotions and life trajectory of women in love stories.
