Abstract

This paper explores the integration of technology in Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) and its implications for enhancing oral production among English Language Learners (ELLs). Through a comprehensive review of existing literature, including a detailed analysis of seminal works on the subject, the transformative potential of technology-enhanced TBLT is highlighted. Empirical evidence supports the efficacy of technology in improving linguistic outcomes, specifically accuracy, fluency, and complexity in oral language production. Challenges posed by technological integration, such as access issues and the nuanced understanding of specific linguistic elements, are acknowledged. The paper contributes to the ongoing dialogue on optimizing language learning environments and outlines future research directions further to explore the pedagogical synergy between technology and TBLT. Addressing the challenges and harnessing the opportunities presented by technology-enhanced TBLT advocates for a more dynamic, inclusive, and practical approach to language education, preparing learners for the complexities of global communication.
