- Abstract
Self-control reflects an individual’s ability to adapt to the social environment and is a key element in measuring an individual’s emotional stability. In order to improve an individual’s ability to control his or her mental emotions, a study is conducted on the self-control method based on the psychological dual system model. A psychological dual system model was developed by using state regulation variables to correlate the impulse system with the self-control system. In this paper, the neural mechanisms of action of self-control methods are analyzed in terms of cognitive control, emotion regulation, and delayed gratification and cross-area regulation, respectively. On this basis, cognitive load is defined and the psychological dual-system model is refined, and then, based on the measurement results of self-control awareness, the criteria of self-perceived load at the psychological level are investigated to complete the design of self-control methods based on the psychological dual-system model.
