Abstract

The development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Bali plays a very important role in preserving local cultural identity while supporting the community’s economy. Bali’s traditional food industry is an important part of local cultural identity that is preserved through religious practices and community traditions. However, the main challenge currently faced by industry players, especially those in the traditional culinary sector, is limited access to technology and broader markets. Research gaps remain in approaches that integrate technology empowerment with community-based cultural preservation. This study aims to enhance the production and marketing capacity of traditional Balinese food SMEs. The method applied is Participatory Action Research (PAR), directly involving informants in the research. Data collection was conducted through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research findings indicate significant improvements in production process efficiency, visual appeal of packaging, and digital market reach. Active participation by SME actors also strengthened a sense of ownership and commitment to the sustainability of the program. Beyond economic impacts, the initiative promoted the preservation of local cultural values through the adaptation of appropriate technology.
