- Abstract
In recent years, with the rapid development of Internet technology, the development of game market and short video platform is unprecedentedly prosperous. Among them, online games have a strong attraction to minors because of their interactivity and immersion, while minors with poor self-control and immature physical and mental development are prone to dependence on online games and become addicted to them. The State attaches great importance to the situation of minors’ Internet addiction, and since 2004, when the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television (SARFT) issued the Notice on Prohibiting the Broadcasting of Computer Network Game Programmes, as of 25 December 2023, there were 2,976 laws and regulations on the control of minors’ Internet games in China, of which 8 were laws, 30 were administrative regulations, and 2,528 were local laws and regulations.
