Abstract

This study aimed to produce a valid, practical, and effective e-module for learning mathematics based on realistic mathematics education oriented toward students’ computational thinking abilities. The products developed are in the form of e-modules integrated into Canvas LMS as a blended learning medium, as well as instructional Scratch 3 applications as the application of the material in e-modules into programming languages. This research is R&D using the ADDIE development model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The trial design in this study uses a pre-experimental one-shot case study to test product effectiveness. The research subjects on ADDIE development were 15 volunteer students at SMP Negeri 3 Banguntapan. The instrument for measuring the validity of the e-module development uses the expert validation questionnaire instrument; the practicality of using the practicality questionnaire instrument from teachers and students, and the effectiveness of using the student computational thinking ability test instrument with a score above 70% of KKM or Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning. The results of this study show that the development of e-modules based on realistic mathematics education is valid, practical, and effective in increasing computational thinking abilities.
