Abstract

An ageing population, an increase in chronic illnesses, and skyrocketing healthcare expenses will put a strain on healthcare systems throughout the world from 2024 to 2030. Affordable healthcare for everyone should be a goal of universal health coverage (UHC), but meeting rising demand and shrinking budgets will need creative approaches. Industry 4.0, also known as Healthcare 4.0, is a new way of improving healthcare delivery via the use of cutting-edge technology including telemedicine, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Medical Things (IoMT). Addressing inequities in healthcare access and increasing patient outcomes are possible with AI-driven technologies that provide predictive analytics, personalised therapies, and remote monitoring. Economic, cultural, and societal differences make AI integration into healthcare systems hard, despite its promise. Healthcare providers, academics, and legislators must work together across disciplines to ensure successful adoption. Healthcare 4.0 has the potential to revolutionise patient care, boost service efficiency, and increase safety, as discussed in this study. It delves into the challenges of using AI and offers solutions to those challenges as well. Healthcare may improve its adaptability, precision, and resilience by using advances from Industry 4.0. In order to emphasise the importance of maintaining a balanced approach to the integration of AI in healthcare, the article finishes with talks on future research paths and ethical concerns.
