Abstract

The Smart Dog Health Tracker is a remote monitoring solution that combines IoT hardware with AI to continuously supervise the health status of dogs. This is enabled through an ESP32 microcontroller with biomedical and environmental sensors, measuring SpO₂, temperature, motion, and location. Sensor data will be securely sent to a cloud service where ML models, such as Decision Trees, Random Forest, and Support Vector Machines, grade the condition of a dog as either normal, warning, or critical. Unlike mainstream gadgets in the pet market, this will be software-centric with a connected ecosystem in mind, featuring predictive analytics, a mobile interface, and a web dashboard that provides live updates, GPS tracking, historical records, and timely alerts. This paper integrates the Emotional Design Theory into the device and applications, allowing users to develop greater trust and engagement with more visually attractive graphics, easy navigation, and personalized health insight. User testing revealed high sensor accuracy of ±2%, fast alert responsiveness of less than 1.5 seconds, and reliable classification performance of up to 94%. The technical capabilities in the system merge with emotional appeal, offering a proactive, user-friendly approach toward veterinary IoT.
