Abstract

The cooperative societies are based on the idea of the transformational values meant to fulfil the collective goals of the members and society at large. Therefore, success of a cooperative society does not solely depend on its performance on the financial count but also includes the performance towards fulfilment of the goals of the members, contribution to the environment and society at large. Keeping this in mind a bibliometric analysis has been conducted with the help of the PRISMA approach in VOS viewer platform. The purpose is to explore the research work done on the measurement metrics related to the performance of the cooperative societies.

In order to address the objective of the study, data were collected for the past 25 years i.e. from the year 2000 to 2024. The research studies were primarily obtained from SCOPUS database. The bibliometric analysis has been done based on ‘keyword analysis’, ‘co-authorship analysis’, ‘co-citation analysis’ and ‘bibliometric coupling’. Attempt has also been made to identify the most prominent journals and authors on this subject matter, the leading countries, the key research keywords used, and the important areas covered.
