Abstract

Observational and vision-based gait analysis involves the systematic examination of an individual’s walking patterns through visual assessment and advanced imaging techniques. This chapter presents the science and technological methods that enable the detailed observation of movement dynamics, allowing for the identification of abnormalities, variations, and overall physical health. By integrating both qualitative and quantitative measures, this approach provides valuable insights into gait biomechanics, aiding in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and the enhancement of athletic performance.
