Abstract

The phenomenon that occurs in most developing countries such as Indonesia, marriage or marriage is not only carried out by people who are of legal age (adults). Based on Article 7 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 1974 in conjunction with Law Number 16 of 2019 concerning marriage, in this case the minimum age limit for marriage for women is equated with the minimum age limit for marriage for men, namely 19 years. In terms of its causes, poverty can be divided into cultural poverty and structural poverty. Cultural poverty is poverty that refers to the attitude of a person or community caused by their lifestyle, living habits and culture. One of the causes of poverty can also come from a tradition known in some areas, namely the ongoing early marriage in some areas with the hope that getting married at a young age is a good thing, in order to avoid adultery or to immediately become a wife to serve her husband in terms of the point of view of the woman.
