Abstract

Presidential instruction 1/2025 affects all state budget policies, including the legal aid budget under the ministry of law, while the need for case handling and assistance for the poor in various regions continues to increase, one of which is in Yogyakarta Province. This study aims to analyze the impact of the presidential instruction on the prodeo legal aid service; the strategy of legal aid organizations in serving prodeo’s legal aid requests toward the President’s instructions were enforced. This research is an empirical legal research, with interview techniques to obtained primary data and supported by secondary data. This research uses a sociological and statutory approach and uses descriptive-qualitative methods in conducting analysis. The results of this study show that the president’s instruction is affecting to legal aid service by the legal aid organizations in number because the poor who come in the middle of the year cannot be served. The strategies carried out by legal aid organizations have different variations, some use cross-subsidies and rent out part of the office space to rent in support legal aid program.
