- Abstract
The 21st century has witnessed rapid advancements in educational technology, particularly with the advent of Artificial Intelligence (AI). However, education experts are still evaluating how compatibility can be established between AI technology and education to produce a skilled and knowledgeable society. One of the issues that been raised is the extent to which the integrity of AI can be accountable for making decision on behalf of humans. This paper aims to discuss firstly, on education practices before the AI era and how the clash begin. Secondly, to elaborate on how education able to adapt and tolerate to maximize the impact of AI existence without sacrificing education quality. This can be done by adoption of several AI applications in teaching and learning with efficient monitoring system from education authorities at all levels. Hence, the use of AI applications could be limited to those beneficials for purpose and objective of education. Although the fact, fast growing number of freely available AI applications on web could defeat the objective of education when students apply them without under monitoring of their teachers or lecturers. Thus, the effort of harmonizing between education and AI should start with students’ integrity in learning by challenging their own cognitive ability without fully dependent on learning machine technology. On the other side, a clear user guideline of AI in education sector needs to be established by authorities in tolerance to this amazing technology innovation and appreciate its benefits to human life.
