Abstract

The integration of numerous modes of transportation is critical for improving urban mobility, reducing traffic congestion, and encouraging environmentally friendly travel. In order to maximize connectivity across different transportation services, such as buses, trains, and last-mile options, this study explores the creation and deployment of an Integrated Transport System (ITS). This study presents a thorough strategy to coordinate schedules, enable smooth ticketing, and enhance passengers’ access to real-time updates by utilizing sophisticated data analytics, digital platforms, and intelligent infrastructure. In order to provide commuters with a single platform, the methodology incorporates data from several transit sources into a multi-layered system architecture. Strategic solutions utilizing both software and policy frameworks are used to overcome implementation difficulties such data standards, system interoperability, and user adoption. The results show a notable increase in user happiness, shorter wait times, and commute efficiency. A comparison with current systems demonstrates how well the suggested model manages the intricate demands of urban transit. For further improvement, future recommendations center on extending ITS capabilities to include cutting-edge technologies like AI and IoT.
